TISSUE anyone? from the yard next door :))

TISSUE anyone? from the yard next door :))
Each year when the week of Homecoming (last HOME football game) is played, the Juniors and Seniors from our schools pull pranks on each other, usually at night, while no one is watching (they hope: ) A lovely girl next door is a Junior this year, sooooo their yard got the prank, and many more around town as well. They were so very quiet doing this, we were at home, right across a drive way (that I am standing on here) and we heard nothing...several pranksters come and do this real quickly and move on to another home of a Junior or Senior... such fun times for this kids. these neighbors have JUST gotten this up in last few days:) Yes, they kept it out of our yard , we saw them each morning making sure this was not blown our way :) I yelled across the yard to her dad telling him,
"HEY, we are out of Tissue".. you can guess his answer.. :)) yep, you got it: ":come on over" HAHAH

Must have taken a lot of clearing up Sarah!
I must say I'm not a fan of pranks, but this one is very mild in comparison to many!
Maybe I'm just too old to appreciate them ;-))

Hi Maurice, Thank you , OH MY, the prank you mention seems way too extreme! This particular prank is always seen this time of year for a few days....most all locals are used to this, and just go with the flow while these students have a bit of fun on the week of Homecoming at school :)

:)) This neighbor, RIGHT NEXT DOOR, has cleaned up in stages:) only a few streamers left now that were thrown way up into two large trees:) Such a nice family, the Mother teaches at the High School so is very familiar with this annual event:) the Dad is one of our local Barbers! I like to feel that we are never too old, Rosa,:)) to enjoy things like this :), IF IT DOESN'T get extreme, as Happy Snapper mentions above...

Oh .. have seen many of these ...

Most neighbors 'gifted' with this tissue have waited until the sun came out and it was easier to remove.
Newbies who had their yard 'rolled' tried taking it off as soon as they saw it in the morning .. found out that didn't work very well.

HI PEGGY C....OH MY I am so very sorry I missed your visit here, Ive JUST apologized to another IP Friend for doing this :)) I apologize to you, I REALLY do appreciate your visit here,
OH yes I agree, this is done here annually by the Junior and Senior high school students in each other's yards:!! fun stuff to these students, and here the clean up DOES wait until the sun is up and in many cases , they will leave it up for a day or two to let it be seen and enjoyed by passers by, But often times, THE neighbors MIGHT want it down before the wind decorates THEIR yards :)) But in this case, we enjoyed it all and when a small piece of the tissue blew our way, we would just remove it ...and smile....We know our neighbor very well, and the daughter , now a senior in high school , was the subject of the "rolling"..AND just this past Thursday SHE won the title of THE HIGH SCHOOL Queen in a lovely Pageant !!
