Ein Ocean-Liner, neben der Queen Mary, den ich mag. Auch wenn sie tonnenweise Schweroel verbrennt.***

My dear Füsun,

A wonderful picture from the archives! Those two little boats really show the size!

What a monster! These ships really are cities on the sea! It's hard to believe how huge they are.

A great catch here Füsun. I was once alongside the older Queen Elizabeth 2 (yes the QE2 was before this one!) whilst in another cruise ship in Bergen, Norway. The QE2 (1969-2008 and now a hotel in Dubai) superseded another original ship of the same name QE of 1938-72. Of course they can be seen as ugly monsters of the seas by some people but at least Cunard have kept to the tradition design of a Ocean going Liner with this, as of course they were in the forefront right from the beginning.

I have a couple of friends who have cruised on this, the latest QE ship and have only admiration and good words for it.

Best Wishes, Herb
