A fence on a path between Brocken and Schierke HFF!

You are right the path via Eckerloch is shortest route to the Brocken, but sometimes steep,rock, and covered with roots.
So yes it was hard but a good experience!
Ultimately it was worth the effort. A wonderful memory!

Such a nice picture! I can see that you are so well equipped for walking up Brocken mountain! Nice red boots, and matching backpack.... Now I can understand all the pictures from Harz railway, especially www.ipernity.com/doc/2247842/43560028 . It must have been a big achievement to walk up that path to Broken mountain!!

I remember the two ladies coming up the path saying it was difficult and dangerous!
We thought maybe they don’t know what a real mountain is like! It was diffucult but no so dangerous! Oh yes we were well equipped for walking up Brocken mountain! Especially my red boots :))
It was worth the effort. A wonderful memory!!!
Maybe soon another trip to the same place....
