As I remember, there is a little path underneath here to join the two sides..

As you said "Pontcysyllte pont cario dwr" is really wonderful piece of design and construction which designed and built by Thomas Telford and Williams Jessop. ( I remember another great construction in Wales... Menai Suspension Bridge !! Again by Thomas Telford,

I have sailed across this aqueduct in a canal boat, Füsun. It was quite an experioence. I have wa;led across it many times too.
