I don't nthink i've ever seen polished stones from here. You would expect to see them in the few craft shops around the place but I never have. Maybe they don't polish up too well!.

La Sierra de La Cabrera is a wonderful place to go walking and / or scrambling. It is very close to Madrid, nice and compact, often has clear weather when the main Sistema Central ridge is in cloud and the walks can all be done in a day or even a half day.
And yet very few Madrileños/as ever go there. I believe it is because there are no restaurants here and so it does not constitute a day out for them!!!
They are missing out a lot. They should get used to sandwiches!!!
