One is an apple and the other is a type of gourd or squash; I forget which one. I thought buttenut squash but I now have doubts. I know perfectly well but have a mental block and Google doesn't help here as I can't find a picture of this exact gourd, amongst the zillions under gourd images there.

The squash / gourd was so pretty I couldn't eat it! About 6 months later I realise it hasd rotted away so out it went!
