This is a great scene - the little stream looks so good trickling down the granite boulders. That is quite a big ventilation tower, but there again I suppose it's very necessary if there is a tunnel underneath

I think it was to help extract the smoke from tunnels that came from the steam trains, many years ago, Jenny!
When I first walked here in 2010, the last trains ran here. 2 years ago I walked the tunnel with a walking group and it was spooky but fun! I posted a few pics such as this one here:
