Andy Rodker club has replied to Jenny McIntyre clubThroughout geological eras, what the element wash away, nature brings back, somehow! Such as in silt deposits clogging up harbours in Sussex and Kent over the centuries. It all balances out in the end, just not in a convenient time frame for us mere motrtals!

To expand on what Rosalyn mentioned above..........they reckon it was approx 1000 tonnes of rock that fell on to the beach below.........scary!
