Mule Train

This photo, taken by my wife with her phone, is a mule train just starting down the trail from Upper Cathedral Lake. There were, if I remember, six mules loaded with gear for trail maintenance.

I was not part of it. It appeared to be part of a work crew, probably working on trail maintenance. We went in and out again on our own feet and the mules wouldn't have been able carry us, anyway, they were loaded with picks, shovels and other gear.
