Western Garter Snake

Western Garter Snake
There were two of these Garter Snakes when I came on the scene but one of them quickly disappeared. The other draped itself over this old log and stayed there for a photo. The photo was taken at Hog Lake in eastern Washington.

DOMCHO, ROL/Photo, J. Gafarot, Amelia and 12 other people have particularly liked this photo

It's very long and looks dangerous! I'll ask, too:is it poisonous?

Colourful and non- poisonous. This one looks quite long. How nice it was for the snake to stay still for you.

Wonderful colours and beautiful geometry, it resembles some garment I saw once, kind if native American pattern.
