Cane Cholla

Cane Cholla
These photos are of two Chollas we saw on our hike to Balanced Rock. This is the Cane Cholla, a large cactus with wicked spines. The insets show a photo of the whole plant as well as a photo of the Christmas Cholla.

On another note, we are under a stay at home order here, but that does allow us to get out for groceries and other necessities and for hiking which we did yesterday in the Channeled Scablands west of our home.

A trio of terrific pictures, Ron!! I adore cactus of any kind and your pictures couldn't be better!

I'm so sorry for disappearing...I just haven't been myself lately and I'm so sorry for neglecting you! Though I haven't been stopping by, I think about you every morning on my walks, as I see lovely things and how the light makes everything glow. Anything special has me thinking, "OH! Ron would love this!" :)

Steve and I are doing great, and it's nice to see that you two are doing just fine too. I'll check in when I can and I hope you can forgive my hiding under the bed...
