As we returned from Balanced Rock in Big Bend National Park in Texas and the hike there the shadows of evening were falling. These photos were taken on that return hike.

On another note, we are under a stay at home order here, but that does allow us to get out for groceries and other necessities and for hiking which we did yesterday in the Channeled Scablands west of our home.

Our first hike in Big Bend National Park was a short hike to Balanced Rock in the Grapevine Hills, short of necessity because we did not arrive in Big Bend until mid-afternoon and by the time we reached Balanced Rock the shadows of evening were falling. This photo was taken on the climb up to Balanced Rock and has the Chisos Mountains in the distance. We would be there hiking the next day.
