Pine Siskin

We have feeders out year around but have only seen a few of these though they are often seen in flocks. The Pine Siskin is a small bird of the finch family.

We get little siskins in our garden feeders especially in late winter. They are lively little birds.

omg ron, you're killing me with these adorable chickens!!! :D The first is the most adorable...then I see the second one and I'm all'a'squee... and then... the nex! What am I ever to do?! I'm all a'quiver with SQUEEEEEEES! :D

The chickadees and nuthatches are particularly hard to photograph since they don't stay still very long, at least not long enough for my slow reflexes.
