Grassi Lakes Trail

On our 2014 trip through the Canadian Rockies we spent several days in the area of Canmore hiking the Grassi Lakes trail. This view is from the trail and looks out over Spray Lakes Reservoir and the town of Canmore. The photo was taken by my wife.

The PIPs are perfect.
Enjoy a sunny day.
Happy sunday:)
Glad you enjoyed the wee scorpion, it's always fun to find them. Also nice to educate folks so they understand that not all scorpions are deadly. As with anything: treat with respect! :)
Behind on posting pictures? HAHAHAHAHAH...I'd say get in line but I know how many pictures you have yet to post...let's just call it a day and do what we can. :D There isn't a good solution so just follow your heart! :) Best thing to do is not make yourself crazy about it, I've been down that road. Now I just relax and post whatever and if I get to a picture or if I don't, who cares. I'll be taking more pictures to add to my Dragon's Pile of Images and it ain't never gonna stop so WUDEVAH! It's all good. :)
Yeah, missing a particular flower doesn't hurt much if you've already got a truckload of pictures. That's why I was really wanting to take tulip pictures this year. Finally got a nice handful so I'll stop freaking out about them! :) And don't you start with the tulip fields you've visited or I will fling mud at you! :D Next year...I hope that FINALLY I'll get to see one of these places! :) You are a lucky ducky, that's all there is to it!
Gotta add about your main picture, I love the S shape of it too. :)
We have Robins all over the place too, aren't they wonderful?! So funny how they charge around, stop, listen, and KABOOM into the dirt and pull up a worm or other tidbit. I'm glad I'm not a worm.
Interesting that Lesser GFs aren't in your range, and yet, AGF's are all over for you, though we only get a small number and only around the end of April through May or so. Slight shift in areas, huge dif in territories. :)
I looked up Pine Siskins, they are very pretty. New for your yard, and the Red-Winged BB was new in our yard! Steve's sister saw one yesterday! :)
Wonderful about the Ospreys. So nice that they are close by. They hang out along the Rogue River, which is 22 miles away. We have creeks and ponds around but that's not a draw for Ospreys (or eagles for that matter). There are some nests on poles at Touvelle State Park which we can see as we drive by but that's about it. We can spot the kids poking their heads out of the nests though and it's a wonderful thing to see! :)
Re: your trip...I'm sure you'll be fine...both of you are seasoned travellers in ugly conditions, but I cannot help but say "be careful"...like you wouldn't be, hahahah!
PIGS IN A BLANKET? Oh now that's just not fair. You are hearby ordered to figure out how to make keto blankets for dogs and make some for my virtual dinner! :)
congratulations to you wife Ron.
