Paradise

This is the view of Mount Rainier from the visitors' center at Paradise, the highest point on the Mount Rainier Highway (6400 ft, 1600 m). It is well-named not only for its breathtaking views but for its amazing wildflower meadows. It is also a popular winter sport area and a start-off point for climbing the peak. The road east of Paradise, however, is closed in the winter.
