Snowshoe Trail

Snowshoe Trail
This was taken looking back down the "trail" on one of my recent snowshoeing excursions to Artist's Point. I took a number of shots of the patterns made by skis and snowshoes in the snow and this was one of the better results.

This is super. I've never seen snowshoe tracks before. Are the marks on the side from poles? I'm confused because if they are, it appears as if the poles go off for a walk on their own in two place or are those animal tracks.

The snow was very well packed that day, Esther, since we hadn't had snow for quite a while int the mountains, and there were people doing the trails in just hiking books or snow boots. That's what your seeing. The marks of the poles wouldn't be visible from this distance.
