Lichens

Lichens
These are tiny, only an inch or so tall. I believe they are the British Soldier Lichens, Cladonia cristatella. These were photographed on a boulder on Slide Mountain in Whatcom County, Washington.

MARVELOUS!!! Very nice capture of this wonderful lichen, and you are right, they are tiny indeed! I think 1" is stretching it, I would think 3/4" is about the tallest I saw! :D Of course, maybe they take growth hormones in your neck of the woods! :D :D
