Bald Eagle
We went to Whidbey Island today to see the very rare Ozette Coralroot (shown below) in bloom at the Pacific Rim Campus of the Au Sable Institute. South of Oak Harbor we passed a field where a farmer was cutting hay and had the opportunity to photograph a number of bald eagles foraging for rodents in the cut hay. This eagle is not quite mature as is evident from the brown color on his tail.
