Huntleya meleagris
This orchid has to be one of the most striking of all, with its unusual colors and patterns. It is quite a large plant with large five inch flowers. It is native to Brazil, Bolivia and Venezuela and is named for the Guinea Fowl, though I am not sure why. This beautiful example was photographed at the Northwest Orchid Society Show last April.
