It's just one piece of a remarkable ensemble.
Next to this ground the oldest airport of Berlin, Johannisthal
(founded 1909), had been located. Pioneers like Hans Grade
and Melly Beese startet their trials in Johannisthal ... In 1995 the
well known Astronaut Reinhard Furrer died at this place by plane crash.
