Svolvær ist mit 4.200 Einwohnern der Hauptort auf den Lofoten. Im Foto zu sehen sind sog. rorbuer. Früher dienten sie den Fischern als Unterkunft. Heute sind viele im alten Stil, aber modern erbaut und dienen Touristen als Urlaubsquartier.
