Belongs to a crane company. Maybe it's the weight for the crane (as if I know how cranes work!).

At the BNSF railroad yard, Klamath Falls, Oregon, USA. It seems to have a big vise on the front (or maybe that's the back). The true color is oxydized beige, but I increased saturation and it turned pink. So, I left it that way. AA303 Edited/changed.

Yellow straddle carrier in the background. I don't k now what the machine in the front is, maybe for bark peeling. As usual, I neglected to take a shot of the entire object.

U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) boats used to research the possible effects of dam removal along the Klamath River. www.usgs.gov/science/science-explorer?lq=klamath+river This highly controversial proposal has been under ecological and economic investigation for several years. Environmentalists and Klamath Tribes are for it, farmers and associated services are generally opposed. Removal was proposed in order to save the rapidly dwindling salmon population, which cannot get above the dams in order to spawn.
