Well seen and taken Diane...........is that a permanent base, or is it just being used due to the fire - it seems quite empty?

I don't know, but since there are buildings and an official Google Earth place name, I'm guessing it's permanent. I heard today that the fire was bombed with retardant yesterday after the ground crew was having trouble reaching the last hot spots due to the steepness of terrain.
