I heard Klamath mentioned on the radio here the other day! Some scientific discovery at a lake which at 10pm I can't remember..

Good heavens, I can't imagine what that might be! The biggest one, Klamath Lake, is choked with algae that has a toxic bloom in the spring, but that's nothing new. There are other lakes...I did a search and couldn't find anything current. Now that's going to drive me crazy until I find something that made news all the way to Australia!
