Is it Estragon or Wladimir?

Estragon. He will be sitting on the stone in a few minutes. I have solved the mystery of the play: the stone is Godot! He has been there the entire time!

By the way: recently I've read that Godot in fact was a refugee reliefer of the France Resistance who is to smuggle Vladimir and Estragon out of Nazi-occupied France into the Italian zone. The two are fleeing Jews from the 11th arrondissement of Paris. Probably they expect their savior in the spring of 1943 on a dry, calcareous plateau of the Southern Alps, such as the Plateau de Valensole. And all of this is very clear in the play - at least in the original French text. One just did not want to admit it.

As I said, I've read recently in an online article of a German journal when I was browsing around. The article is already 10 years old.
The French teacher and adept of the theatre scene Valentine Temkine has announced this thesis. Amongst others there is a scene at the Eiffel Tower that got him to this presumption.
