My annual delphinium collage

I am planting the sunflowers in the fall (recommended here)...and another one I can't remember. Oh! The hollyhocks. Your cosmos and some columbine I had never did germinate. There were two frosts close together in early June and exactly four zinnia seedlings survived. They might bloom by August. I am babying them along, can't say they're responding with enthusiasm. That's gardening in the high desert! ;-( A very weird place.

I don't have snails here - for the first time in my life - and the heaviest winds are in early spring when the flower spikes are short. So! I am finally able to grow delphiniums! I had given up on them when I lived on the coast. Thank you, Rosa.

Nicely arranged & tones Diane ........I had 6 from last year 4 have been eaten buy the slugs & snails.....There at night gone in the morning !!!
