Old red fisherman

That a lovely old boat.............someone cares enough to prop it up, so maybe it's in the process of being restored? The original superstructure seems to have disappeared - it looks as if that hut-like structure has been put there to to provided shelter/accommodation/storage while the boat is being worked on.

Maybe! It's a sweet old boat, it would cost a fortune to restore it. The cabin does indeed look out of place, but I know nothing about boat design. I just think this one looks awkward, maybe because it's so old. They're so much sleeker, now. Anyway, it was a lot of fun to photograph. Thank you, Keith!

Its "friend" appears to be a joke, as you say in your note. I can picture the crew doing a final prank for the captain. ;-b

I'm no expert either, but it looks somehow like it was a tugboat that was converted to being a fishing boat.
