Diane Putnam club has replied to Gudrun clubI first saw it on the side of health spas and clinics in Madrid about 6-7 years ago and assumed it was a Spanish / English translation error. I later discovered that it was the invented name of a German fitness company and that they were rapidly expanding in the US as well as other parts of Europe.
It annoys me to have to keep correcting students who insist that wellness is a synonym for good health as in;
'How are you?'
'I have wellness today'
They think I am joking when I try to correct them.
I dare say that it WILL be part of the language soon. GRRRR!
