I like the colours, the soft blurred marbling effect, as if it's beginning to slide away, absorb, dissolve. There's a kind of cubist "looking through"...a green shutter, a window, onto a floor. The title pulls it towards the colours of the paintings hung in the Uffizi as the sun sets over the Ponte Vecchio. Valedictory, valedictory all.

Oh my, Steve, I had no idea! Thank you. The real story: two of several terrible photos inside Santa Croce Cathedral. I LOVE your fabulous and flattering descriptions. I, also, thought of the absorption effect, or chalky pastels on concrete.
