1961 Chevy Impala

I drove one in high school -- much more of a 'boat' than it looks.

Oh, it was definitely a boat! I remember how low and flat it looked at the time.

Admittedly the one that I drove was fairly well used, but most of the big cars of the 60's had shocks that went quickly. Designed for going fast in a straight line or very leisurely tooling around town, but suicide on curvy back roads.

The light in this shot is really lovely............as is the car..!!
