Kiger Stadium, built 1947 and still in use

Built 1947 and still in use by the local baseball team, the Gems. It is one of only two all-wood, functioning baseball stadiums left in the USA. My father played baseball here in the late 1940s. have a great day:)
But loved watching the guys in the Minors who were really hungry to move up .... can recall many who played Minor League [ Florida State League ] and made it to the Major League in Detroit.
Bob and I would watch them on tv .. '' hey, what year did we see them in FL ''?
Some think the pace of the game isn't good - it suits me fine. Just sit back and enjoy .. hoping you don't have an adult chatterbox nearby !
