1955, South Dakota
White River near the town of Interior, South Dakota. My grandparents' ranch was a few miles from this spot. That's my grandmother, I'm sitting in front of her (dark hair) One of my twin brothers is crawling away with plans to drown and another brother is far right.

I think it's my grandmother, but not quite sure. I know It's not Mom. Oh, believe me, it was a mud bath! The soil there turns to greasy clay when wet. Actually very fun to slide around in unless you're in a car.
