On the Grip islands.
Grip is an old and now deserted fishing village about 14 km out at the sea from the coastal city of Kristiansund. The buildings on Grip is in a good condition and includes a stave church from ca 1470.

I guess the houses are used for holidays now, they look very well maintained.

Yes, they are second homes today. It is the families that once lived here who are using and maintaining the buildings during the summer. A new generation that have never lived here are now taking over.
