Chalk and blackboard is so much more satisfying than pens on a whiteboard.

Klar; kann man immer noch gut brauchen. Inzwischen nutzen sie sogar die Enkelkinder. Und haben viel Freude damit.

Lovely mix of colours, Chrissy. I hope chalk stays around for a long time :-) I recently bought a blackboard that also has an attractive hand painted scene. It is fairly small but ideal to have on the wall next to the computer. When I need to make a note of something I think it's better to use the blackboard rather than have scrappy bits of paper laying around on the desk :-))

I've never seen so many colors of chalk.

Chalk on chalkboards may be low tech, but will never stop being used. An excellent idea and well captured, Chrissy!

Chrissy this is great and it took me back to my time with first graders in the classroom. Use colored chalk all the time and the children loved to draw pictures on the sidewalks outside our classroom at recess. The pub across the street from us has little tubs of chalk on some of the blackboard painted tables for folks to doodle on. Some are quite good!

Nächstes Mal, wenn ich da rüberkomme, werde ich sehen, ob ich nicht ein Bild von den Kritzeleien von jemandem bekommen kann. :)

In our university they have all kinds of modern tech gadgets (beamer, visualizer, online-screens). It is the mathematicians that still use the chalkboard for formulas and proofs.

Kids still use chalk, don't they?
