➽ Strickkleid für den Kampfpanzer! Das Friedensprojekt der Künstlerin Barbara Niklas ist Teil der Sonderausstellung KUNST | STOFF, die am 22. Mai 2015 im tim (Staatliches Textil- und Industriemusem Augsburg) startete.

Der nicht mehr fahr- und kampffähige Leopard 1 stammt aus dem Militärhistorischen Museum der Bundeswehr in Dresden, das Strickkleid entstand im Jahr 2013 beim generationenübergreifenden Projekt „Attacke! Auf ins Geflecht“. Dazu wurden Bürgerinnen und Bürger, der im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstörten Stadt Dresden, dazu aufgerufen, als Aktion für Frieden, an einem Strickkleid für den Panzer mitzuwirken.

➽ Knit dress for the battle tank! The peace project of artist Barbara Niklas is part of the special exhibition KUNST | STOFF (Kunst = art, Stoff = fabric, together it means "Kunststoff" = plastic) which started in tim (State Textile and Industry Museum Augsburg) on May 22, 2015.

The no longer mobile and combat-ready Leopard 1 comes from the Military History Museum of the Bundeswehr in Dresden, the knitted dress originated in 2013 while the intergenerational project „Attacke! Auf ins Geflecht!“ (means approximate "Attack! Into the weave!", in German "Geflecht" = weave/network, is similar to "Gefecht" = battle)
For this purpose were citizens of the during WW II destroyed city of Dresden, called to knit a dress for the tank, as action for peace!
