NC500 GT. - 41 – Kyle of Tongue

Having left Durness and its locality we head east to the Kyle of Tongue. On the way we see remnants of its history and gaze at the mountainous backdrop of Ben Loyal, a Corbett of 764m.
The NC 500: The Scottish 'North Coast 500' is one of the world’s most beautiful road trips. A route of just over 500 miles (516) of stunning coastal scenery, white sandy beaches, rugged mountains, remote fishing villages and hidden gems.

Ecobird club has replied to tiabunna clubI imagine that modern transport , and then the building of better roads like the A838 replacing the old road played a part in the house being abandoned. Also it is not the most hospitable of places to live,

Built as a halfway house for travellers.
Another superb addition to the "North Coast 500" Group.
