The whispering shifting sands

The whispering shifting sands
Another view from ‘Jenny Brown’s Point’ near Silverdale showing the magic attraction of those moving sands. A place where waders come to feed and people come to admire but these sands are not safe to walk over as the PiP example shows. Carnforth lies in the distance

Enjoy full screen.

Glad you liked it Toz. No we did not park at QStang, we did a round walk from the NT carpark at Eaves Wood, NW of Silverdale. From there we went through the woods near King Williams Hill, down to the coast at Cove House, south down the coast to J.B's Point then back NW via Silverdale Green. Around 6 miles? Phew!

Keep safe. Herb

You have captured the shapes and colours beautifully Herb. I love the sense of movement. Best admired from a distance. Sunday greetings, Rosa.

Thanks Rosa. A wonderful spot and there was a little bit of beach that was safe too, just further to the left. As you say though, perhaps best admired from a distance.

Keep safe. Herb

The sands look really beautiful..................it's easy to see how people could be tempted to try walking over them.

A nicely taken pair of shots Herb.

Aye Keith you are right. There were quite a few dog walkers but all kept well away from the waters edge. Glad you liked them. Herb

As a landlocked person I can rarely see something like this.

You might know Poly that I really love mountains and in particular The Alps as you have, but I consider myself lucky too that I have such sights as this only 100 minutes drive away. There must be some advantages of living on an Island after all.

Yes, of course. It's an old truth: people always want what they don't have at the moment. :-)
But, in fact, I'm also happy with my home country. One also has roots, and they are usually very strong. :-)
