World Photography Day

Even though, by enlarge Covid restrictions are fully released here in Britain, lots of our population are still wary and try to protect themselves in our town centres. This taken in my own town centre of Oldham today. It also shows the enduring love and affection we have for our own species in these days of tragic events around the world caused by pandemic, climate and conflicts.

Thanks for this David. Yes, just like Eileen and I as we walk together hand in hand. I was a little sorry that they were not wearing their mask properly but out of a dozen I took on that day this was the best I had.

Nice to see you again William. Time will tell but somehow, I doubt it.

I appreciate the inclusion from you of how life is being lived right now. Our World Photography Day group would not be complete without it.

This photo shows both the seemingly ever present mask, but also the essential relationship that if one is lucky one has been able to maintain through the past year. Touching from both perspectives.

Raingirl, your comment here re my capture honours me. I wanted to so something a little different for this special group and I also wanted my photo to demonstrate the reality of life in 2021. I am a little surprised that there were not more photos of this photo-journalistic type here but I know that Ipernity attracts a certain blend of photographers of a gentler nature :)

The lack of more photo-journalistic contributions may be due to the reach of the message about the Club event. Hopefully next year I can start earlier and get more notice out - and current group members can invite their contacts!
