Staithes

Another view of this old fishing village, this time showing more of the inner village with its river 'Staithes Beck'. The preceding photo was taken from the top of the hill in the background, to the left of the fence,

I'm impressed with the number of houses they've managed to fit in such a relatively small space and I'm guessing the streets are a bit of a rabbit warren. Excellent work as always!
Gorgeous!!
Herb, please, is the village exposed to SW / W?
I'm not a poet...I am a geographer, I like to observe physical and human landscapes
Herb Riddle club has replied to J.Garcia clubTo answer your question, technically the village faces the sea to the North here but as you can see streets of houses face every direction. West would be to my left side
Best Wishes, Herb
Mapped here too.
J.Garcia club has replied to Herb Riddle clubNow i undestand the orientation
Thanks again
Another fine shot, Herb. Stay safe!
Best wishes ... Steve
I do like these old fishing villages, with their collection of almost random houses!!
Nice picture!
Best Wishes, a nice weekend, and stay safe!!
