Built in the 15/16th century, King Henry IV of France declared that this church was the most beautiful in the Kingdom. Walking both outside and in, I must admit that he was probably right.

Nice to see you again Nick. In truth this was not perhaps the most impressive view. I imagine at the time of only surrounding fields and the nearby river Seine the front view of the whole would have been most grand. yes here the blue skies caught up with us.

Great to see you and your thoughts again Peter. You are right about the beauty in the eye of the beholder. I too have visited the great Paris Notre Damme, at least twice (before digital) and in fairness cannot doubt your conclusion. Thanks for your link on which I shall now travel.
