Lagoon Area
This is a shot I have been wanting to take of the whole area not just the two main Nebulas Lagoon & Triffid. Up the top is the chinese dragon nebula Look at the black line through it you can see the dragon.
I love the view of the surrounding area and all the very dark lanes. to me I see a teenage Ninja turtle for those old enough to remember. This is a two panel panorama shot between clouds and rain. I can say this has lived up to every thing I knew about the area.

The Big ball and chain
The Big Ball & Chain was originally nestled in the sand at the beach for the 2015 Sculpture by the Sea exhibit in Cottesloe. These days it sits near the train station in a park. The creator, Norton Flavel (who also created the Big Hand in Armidale, NSW) wanted to pay homage to the first convicts who arrived by sea in shackles.
I thought it looked just a bit more at home behind the fence like the convicts . you are looking at about 3 time normal human size.
The Big Rainbow
The famous Fremantle ‘Containbow’ is made up of nine shipping containers and painted in rainbow colours to create the Big Rainbow Sea Container. It towers over us at 9 metres high, 19 metres long and weighing in at 66 tonnes.
I was the uber driver for my wife today as her car had to be repaired. this morning this was a solid line of cars and semis both brides to get to north fremantle at a crawl. A truck hauling two sea containers like above rolled over blocking both lanes . traffic was reduced to a crawl 20min trip blew out to 1h 20m. I was able to come back early for the pick up to get these three displays.
On my trip back from north Fremantle after dropping my wife at work there was a solid line of trucks for miles trying to get into North Fremantle container area.
The Big Dingo

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dingo_Flour_sign
The dingo logo was painted by artist Les Nash in 1940 for £40. According to his daughter Mona Rankin it took her father about a week to complete the logo. Nash first sketched the dingo onto graph paper and then used the gridded panels on the silo to guide his large-scale transfer of the design onto the silo itself. It is about five and a half storeys high. It was painted over during World War II, but its outlines were still faintly visible. Refugees and migrants coming to Fremantle saw the sign, and it remains a useful reference point for boaters and anglers. It was mostly re-painted in March 2001. In 2010 the flour mill was renovated, and the dingo now gets re-painted every month.
Just in case you thought it was a miss print 5 1/2 stories high this is the side view its far from small.

This has been a marathon to get shots between rain and clouds this has been 4 night to get 120 shot 3 nights close down and cover over. What shows up for those that look closely a very nervous Red Eyed mouse next to the Cats paw. A very dark area of the Milky way when you look at the big panorama I did. This morning the whole area was wet with dew gear got water on it but as there are heaters running very little compared the the surrounds. there is a lot of detail on the right side missed with the stars.

Walking on water

This is the closest I have ever seen to walking on water. The motion is slight up and down and the winged keel propels you forward as you glide above the water. This looks so cool and so much fun...
Maybe the bible was right....

I took my wife to work as she did not feel the best driving in peak hour traffic. I took my camera so I could enjoy the time away from home. A very dull day.

The science teacher at school found out that I took photos of not only the Milky Way but also deep space. Can you give a talk to the students one of the terms. Of course my answer was yes.
In the process of putting together the shots I looked at them all and decided the 2021- 23 editing was just not up to standard Its been a task to re-edit all 65 shots to what I know now.
I n the process I get to see things that no one else sees once I remove the stars to edit the Nebulas the detail is staggering . Even though I diminish the stars a bit you never get to see this much finer detail as you do in this shot.
I decided to show the two stars and starless then though it was only fair to also share with those interested on ipernity.

Blue Horse Head Nebula IC4592 & Red Wine

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IC_4592
This is a target that is shot out of city lights and pollution, But what the heck just go for it I have never shied away from a challenge. This a reflection nebula the light comes from the bright blue stars in the nebula.
This is version 3 one and two this morning I just did not like so sat down this afternoon to try and make it look more real not a cartoon. Armed with a Full glass of red wine I thought what did I not like how can I simply make it better this is one hour later taking the steps thinking and slowly.
This is one I have always wanted to do but knew its not quite what you should do in the city better out in the black of country. Enjoy the Blue Horse

Prawn Nebula Area Pano IC 4628

Part of the reason for my taking the milky way panorama was to see if there was other parts of interest other than the well taken main Nebulas.
In this case it was the ring that caught my eye that sits below the main point of interest. I found the Wolf nebula, PIP Tiny portion of the panorama, whole another target to consider
