Fallen tree

Fallen tree
We walked behind Granddaughter and boy friend as we walked the trail in Jarradale where she grew up. Some enterprising person pulled the young tree down to the ground, it now rooted both end in the ground. Nature only grows one way. UP

Hi Steve
A wonderful and interesting composition!!
I have never seen it done with a tree, but certainly with some other smaller plants.. Then whe the link is cut each grows by itself.
Best Wishes, a nice weekend, and stay safe!!

It makes a great fame, i have read that when wooden warships were in great demand that was done with oak trees to grow the ribs, definitely a case of thinking ahead !!!!!!!!! ( I have left some thoughts on your old camera gear shot)

yes that is exactly how it was done but never cut its still got both end firmly rooted in the ground. a method as a bonsai grower that is quite familiar to me but never seen it done on this scale before, the net result is quite a arch that is very unique. I could not walk by and not get a shot it was so different.
