Round two 3

Round two 3
The over view shows just how well the grass trees recover and how much slower everything else is in the 7 months. The winter grass in the front just weeds.

Some trees well an truly on the mend.

The ash on the ground seems to act as fertilizer for the grasses! The contrast is marked, but it will take a while until new tall trees will grow.

They do grow back only very slowly shows just how much fires effect the land. Still not much for animals to come back too.

Good to see there's some recovery, Steve. My concern, as much as anything, is the loss of the animals in the fires, given that in many places there was no refuge.

Like you there is nothing here for wildlife and so much is lost in the fire. This and the other shots only go to prove to me Australia does not recover as well as we are told . I have not been this way much from the first shots and to say I got a shock would be an understatement. I really thought with all our rain this winter thought I would see far more growth. Not much for the Insects or Animals to come back to so an almost desert.

I am sure that there is plenty over Australia that Echo the very same we see very very slow recovery and animals. I note on the news 71% of Koalas where lost in the year fires nothing short of a total national tragedy.

Whats worse burn off 's or total wild fires never seen that one explained for wild life.
