Hi Steve,

Thank you for sharing another great set of pics from your journey. It must have been a great adventure! Something we Europeans can't comprehend...
As for the cyclist.. Well, we hear stories of people stranded in the outback with no water.. I would imagine a consumption of a couple of gallons a day, from WHERE?

Best Wishes
Peter

Peter having travelled in Europe myself you are so right. the overriding flat, nothingness and just the shear size. out here you have no water that you can get from the land at all you have to carry it all with you, only real lakes you see are mostly all salt. hope it show a side of this land like myself never see before.

Hi Steve, Just read the link you provided, the dates for the sealing of the hi-way was extremely interesting as I traveled over it in 1969. I can only remember dirt and I was towing a caravan .An adventure back then, but it was a long trip and dust was into everything. The oncoming vehicles were a problem.Had to pull over each time or risk windscreen damage. Good to follow your trip, pity you did did not have time to stop when you wanted. Regards Peter

It is such a long way one i was not quite prepared for in reality but it was never Dull or boring. I have always wanted to do the trip by M/C but never got the chance. It would not have been fun on gravel thats for sure I can bet its the very same set of roads but sealed. I hope one day to get the chance by car so I can stop when I want to and see it just a bit more close up.I put the photos up as it is a trip Europe just will not be able to comprehend at all in Distance.

hope it brought a few good memories back.
