Its great to look back at the clear night.... something I have not had since but we cant complain we need the rain. Glad you like the shot I like the echo of the bow in the landscape.

I have the end of this month and about 60 min shoot time in a very different place. fingers crossed been a very bad year for clouds......glad you like the shot.

An excellent Milky Way bow, Steve. Like you, I'd like to get out and take another, but there's been a lack of clear skies.

Not been a very good year for astro shots having said that the few nights I was able to go out turned out very well. I do know what you mean feel like a bird in a cage.

A stunning shot Steve, you have convinced me I must give a go when the weather turns again.

Its not at all hard as long as you know your gear and how to set up. Look at what Herb has been able to do with a little help and encouragement.

right place, right time of month for no moon, right lack of light pollution and being keen enough to have a go. I can tell you the hardest part is the "dark" if some thing is not right, you have to know where to go to fix it up on the camera. I sat in my study when I first started with the lights out getting use to where every thing is on the camera and how to change. this may be of interest.

Thank you but been a bit sparse this year way to many clouds and rain. We need the rain but we could do without the clouds. {;o)

You should see this on a 55 " OLED TV. original shot they come out just stunning. next year we only hope is better Milky way season is finishing for the year ,always next year.
