Bus and a long Drive.

Bus and a long Drive.
I was asked by my brother in law( father and son) if I would like to come with him as he had just bought a new bus in Adelaide and he had to drive it back to Perth. I have always wanted to do this trip but have only ever done it by plane flying over Australia. Sounds easy 2696 km 24 hours ( @110KM) of driving, God know how many Kangaroos we missed. we left from South Australia Wednesday arrived home Friday. What is about to follow is Shot taken out of a bus travelling at 103 Km/h. you are looking at the only stop we made in the day for photos all the rest where to eat and run. For those interested to see just what its like to travel across Australia and the Nullabor plain they will follow. They are absolutely nothing like anything that you have ever seen for those who live outside Australia. Even for most a once in a life time experience. Any one up for the drive.

David Slater (Spoddendale), Peter_Private_Box, Andy Rodker, Gudrun and 3 other people have particularly liked this photo

This is the middle of the trip but the best shot to show the bus. My brother in law is the only driver as you have to have a special licence to drive I was there to help him if he needed to get things while he drove. We stopped two nights I slept on the middle floor while the driver slept on the bed. the bus did not have the things you mention that we know of at the moment but it is a joy to travel in compared to all the other bus he has hired. Soon you will see some of the trip.

All the best to you from the real out back in this case on the WA side of the land.

I'm with you Steve! Great starting shot here. I have just noticed the big bumper -presumably to protect against jumping kangaroos on these roads.

It is just as you say but they still make a huge mess none the less, yes I start with the bus shot half way home and back on our side of the country by 100 odd Km past the border. This is the only look out point he could get the bus to get close to see the great Australian bight the rest he was not allowed to go in. shots missed.
