Karamaturu Stream

Why is it so tough, Steve?
Alligators?
Freshwater sharks?
Not apparently tough terrain but I have obviously missed something basic here!
And we don't seem to be doing terribly well in the Test series :o(

Andy the comment harks back to the younger days when with my parents that's what we did picked on a stream then walked up it no track just follow the stream. Not this one far to rough such huge boulders this stream carries on like you see here it was great to have a track no matter how steep it was. you where faced with cliffs like this for most of the way up. sorry i am a little lost for news these days in nz so i don't even know whats happening about the place has not helped no laptop either for a while.

my wife and i spent our time looking after my parents (90 & 84 mum broke hip) driving them about and going bush with them as well within reason. i am the one sent down the cliffs to get photos and bring them back. plus learning to drive all over again very tight twisty road not at all like Oz.

Is this the path along the stream? It seems to be precipitous back there...
