Polar Vortex, the effects of


Our bedroom window had a thick layer of ice this morning. The temperature at 9:00 a.m. was -14°F (-26°C). Schools are closed for three days, all public services are suspended. Three US states are under the state of emergency. A total of 10 US states are effected by the Polar Vortex with extremely cold temperatures.

Doerthe club has replied to klaus 040 clubAber keine Sorge, es geht uns gut. Wir kaufen ja sowieso immer alles auf Vorrat, das kenne ich garnicht anders. Man geht nur einmal pro Woche einkaufen. Nur unsere kleine Maggie hat grosse Probleme mit ihren Pfoten ueberhaupt draussen zu sein, um ihre Geschaefte machen zu koennen. Gestern und vorgestern hab ich sie dann zu ihrem Plaetzchen hingetragen, um ihr die Schmerzen zu ersparen. Heute ist die Temperatur schon auf minus 14°C angestiegen, das sind ja zwoelf Grad Unterschied seit gestern.
