I hear these all spring and summer. I almost never see them, because they sing from the tree tops and are very well camouflaged. This one came down to my level.

I walk past this hollow tree several times a week. Usually, it is empty. Sometimes there is a little toad sitting in the hole. This morning, this snake was looking out as I walked by.
