These moths fly in the same way as hummingbirds. They can hover in front of a flower and extend their long curved "tongue" to reach nectar.

Barn swallows in a tree at Bluff Lake

There were several dozen swallows sitting in this tree. These two were cooperative photo subjects.

I am sure the poison ivy (Toxicodendron) is toxic. I don't know about the mushroom.
